The dropper Pack emerged from the enduro racing scene in Oregon around 2013. With heavy reliance on shuttles and aid stations, many racers were dropping their cumbersome backpacks and using vintage fanny packs from thrift stores. These packs fit all the tools needed to fix a flat tire and held some snacks, but bounced around on the body and didn’t hold a water bottle.

From the beginning, the Dropper Pack has been designed to fit all of the essentials for a day on the bike, water, tools, and snacks, while maintaining a low profile against the body so the pack stays stable.
